For the new production, the CapitoleTheater have wished to bring together a team the nearest to ideal. Prodyced by Ezio Frigerio and Franca Squarciapino, all three having played at the Capitole a Carmen, a Lcia and memorable Walküre.
Thomas Hampson is one of todays greatest baritones, has done so much to ressurecta work which he'd sang at the Monte Carlo Opera and has recorded with E.M.I classics, will be the sliding inside the skin of the strange Prince of Danemark. At his side,Natalie Dessay the front rank lady of french singers today, plays the delicate personnage of Ophelie, of which she alone has made the work famous.
